What is it & why it matters

Sewer Safety Inspection (SSI) uses CCTV cameras to inspect sewer lines from the inside. The goal: find cross bores, where another utility — like a gas line — was accidentally drilled through a sewer.

A good fit if…

  • You stay calm with technical equipment
  • You like inspection and documentation
  • You want a specialty with steady demand

What you'll learn

  • CCTV operation

Operate camera crawlers and inspection systems in live sewer networks.

  • Cross bore identification

Recognize hazards and code observations to industry standards.

  • Reporting & documentation

Produce inspection reports that drive repair decisions.

  • Safety procedures

Follow confined space, traffic, and site safety protocols.
