Frequently asked questions

How much does a CUTI program cost?

Courses cost $0 if you choose employer sponsorship. To qualify, complete the paid practicum plus a 3-month full-time work commitment. If you do not want a work commitment, you can pay for the course yourself. Then every opportunity stays open after you graduate.

Is the training paid?

Yes. For sponsored students, training pay starts after about the two-week mark, close to the practicum rate. The 3-month practicum is paid throughout. Full-time employment after it pays a higher rate. Most employers add bonus systems on top. Your exact rate is set with your sponsoring employer.

Do I need prior experience or education?

No prior work experience is required. You need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including Grade 12 English or equivalent. You also need permission to work in Canada, age 18+, a valid driver's licence with a clean abstract, and intermediate computer skills. If your computer skills are basic, we can help.

What languages is training offered in?
